Snyder Family Stadium opened as KSU Stadium in 1968 with a capacity of
35,000. In 2006, it was renamed in honor of legendary head football coach
Bill Snyder, who turned a struggling Wildcats team into a recurrent
championship contender in the Big 12 Conference. Today, the stadium seats
52,200 fans - its largest crowd exceeding 53,800. Founded in 1863, Kansas
State University, originally named Kansas State Agricultural College, is the
oldest public university in the state and has an enrollment topping 23,300
